Jelte Zeilstra (aka Cold Crush) was involved in music at a young age. (Re)mixing in particular had a great appeal to him, with Ben Liebrand and the Bond van Doorstarters in the FErry Maat Soul Show as major sources of inspiration.
Music was important, whether it was Soul, Funk, Disco, Jazz or Rock didn’t matter. The rise of HipHop gave Cold Crush extra inspiration , musically but also as a DJ. By making small remixes/beats, he drew attention to himself in the local HipHop scene. This resulted in various collaborations with local HipHop groups.
He later became part of EDM production team “Brothers of Anomolies”, were he scored a number 1 hit in Japan with a track called domino. They also worked with the Bogerman Big Band , this resulted in the “Jazz on da Beats” tour, a combination of the Big Band, live EDM, HipHop and scratches.
Since 2000, Cold Crush has worked extensively with DJ Knowledge from Swotteam on various musical productions. Locally he is very active as a producer and HipHop DJ for MC Trase, Elgee da Enforcer and P-Double, among others.
Since 2013 he has been involved with Straight A’s Entertainment, where he provided support for various activities… such as Soul Sonic, Ladi Dadi, Good Times, Get Lit and Het LAB.
DJ Knowledge and DJ Cold Crush have now entered into a collaboration called SnakesFinest.
